The team at Child’s Play Entertainment takes
fun and celebrates life seriously. And what could be more fun and creative than
learning circus skills? Everyone can do it!
In fact, the wondrous benefits of circus in education and
in life have made us firm believers in the power of the Circus for life.
Circus Skills Workshops a.k.a. Juggling Workshops
Our aim is to provide opportunities for circus for everyone! Our circus workshops can take many forms and are suitable for schools, corporate events such as team building and for events such as carnivals, family days, festivals and parties.
Juggling Sampler Workshops
A sampler session is a session which is broken into shorter sessions, for example, a 2-hour session can be separated into 4 half-hour sessions. Four different skills, such as diabolo, plate spinning, ball juggling and stilt walking, will be introduced to the participants within the sampler session. Depending on group size, the session will be structured such that the participants will learn one prop for half an hour before moving to another prop together as a group or the participants will be split into four groups with each group learning a prop at a zone before rotating to another zone.
Sampler sessions can be one-off sessions or few sessions long, depending on your requirements. The great thing about sampler sessions is that participants are exposed to a variety of circus in one setting and learning is kept short and sweet! They are fabulous for ice-breaking, team bonding, schools' PE lessons, enrichment programmes, birthday parties... The list goes on!
Drop-in Workshops
Drop-in workshops are simply great additions to carnivals and festivals where there are lots of things to see and do and participants should not have to commit to staying at one place for a long time. We provide the props and instructors and open the area to participants who are free to try out any props they like. Participants are welcome to drop in, join the workshop and leave anytime they like. Our instructors will go around helping participants to learn the props that they are interested in.
These workshops are always crowd-pullers and enhance your event's festive atmosphere! You may even choose to charge participants a small fee for the workshop as part of your fund-raising efforts or help partially-fund your event.
Circus Alive!
Circus
Alive! is a structured school circus arts programme presented
by Child’s Play Entertainment. This
programme is suitable for schools that wish to expand their arts and physical
education provision, for active learning through the arts, co-curricular
activities and enrichment workshops for all primary and secondary schools and
special schools.
Circus
Alive! is a comprehensive programme which includes
a wide range of circus arts activities such as juggling, diabolo, plate
spinning, poi, stilt walking, rola-bola and contact juggling. It aims to instill positive lifeskills and
improve self-control, self-confidence and self-esteem in the individual.
Circus
Alive! takes a student-centric approach with our
instructors planning and implementing programmes that cater to the students’
needs. We provide dynamic environments where the students are able to develop their
skills at their own pace. Our activities are challenging but achievable to
ensure that no learner is left behind!
